Sarah Shahi (born Aahoo Jansouzshahi) was born in Euless Texas to an Iranian father and Spanish Iranian mother. Sarah Shahi was an NFL cheerleader during her youth and descended from a Persian sah of 19th century. Taylor was awarded in 1999 the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting actress in a Drama Series for her role as judge Roberta Kittleson on ABC's The Practice.
